VFW Post 8422 in Smyrna,TN
has the distinction of being
our first "actual" Vets
"NITE" Out!
Huh? That's right! Our Vets were
invited to a fine Dinner at the
Friday, May 15th!
(Most of our
NiteOuts are actually more like
"Lunch-Out", but that's ok...
whatever works, right?)
.....And what a trip it was! The VFW
Post 8422's own Col. H. Lee Cyree
greeted the bus of Veterans as they
pulled into the parking lot, showed
them
to their wheelchair-accessible
entrance,
and it just got even better from
there!
Our Vets were treated to a full
Spaghetti Dinner, complete with
meatballs, salad, garlic bread, and
whatever anyone
wanted to drink! And did we
mention
there was even a live Country Band?
The Members of the VFW treated the
guys just like they'd known them
all their lives!
It was so nice everyone
hated to leave!

This month we are fortunate enough
to have FOUR Hosts!
On the 8th we will be taking a group
of Vets to the VFW in Smyrna, Tn!
(Editors Note:the VFW trip on
the 8th was rained-out and
rescheduled for the 15th!)
Then on the 11th, another group is
going to the City Cafe in
Murfreesboro, Tn!
We'll finish off the month at Busters
on the 12th and Duggers on the 26th!
(We are especially grateful to Duggers
and Busters... they have been so
supportive of and generous with the
Veterans, even in the midst of the
economy scare!)
