Another
BIRTHDAY CLUB
Celebration!
We were lucky enough to
get to celebrate
Mr. FRANK MINCEY's
72nd birthday on March 3rd .
We found out that
Mr. Mincey's favorite dinner
is a fine STEAK, medium rare,
with all the fixings, from
Logan's Roadhouse ....
so, that's exactly what
we surprised him with!
Needless to say, he loved it!

Mr. Jack Mays, an avid
VetsNiteOut partici-
pant, also celebrated his
72nd Birthday,
on March 5th!
His "Birthday Request" was
more of a personal one,
so we'll just say that
Mr. Mays said he had a
"fantastic birthday"!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Effective March 9, 2009,
cigarettes went up
$7.00 per carton!
Whether you believe folks should smoke or not, the fact remains that many Veterans do, and some of our Disabled Veterans in Nursing Homes are no exception.
The problem is, the ones relying on Medicaid to pay their room and board at this point in time receive a grand total of $40 per month for personal expenses.
Now, what with even generic cigarettes heading upwards of $30 per carton, these Vets won't be able to
buy more than one carton per month
(and if you are a smoker yourself, you know that 2 is stretching it!)
So, if you are able, please consider donating a carton of cigarettes to your favorite Veterans Home.
The Smokers receiving $40 a month will be extremely appreciative!
Thanks!
