VetsNiteOut started the New Year 2010 off with THE BEST ... our very first HOST: BUSTERS PLACE on Broad Street in Murfreesboro, TN!

Five Veterans from the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN, started the New Year off with a real bang at Busters!

Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Steve Crockerell for another year of generous hosting of disabled Veterans residing in Nursing Homes!

These Vets look so forward to getting out of the Nursing Home for a little while to have a nice meal and maybe a beer or two ... and our great hosts like BUSTERS always welcome them with open arms and treat them to anything they want!

Talk about respect for ... and generosity to ... our Nation's Heroes!

The Hosts, Sponsors, Volunteers and Supporters of VetsNiteOut are the VERY BEST IN THE WORLD!

Rockin' at the VFW

Even tho' the meals at the Tennessee State Veterans Home are absolutely fantastic

(seriously) it's just fun for the Vets to get out a few times a month ... to get to have, and do, something "different" ...

EVERYONE NEEDS THAT once in awhile!

We'll be rounding out our VNO trips early this month as our fearless leader, Rich Peoples, will be travelling to Fayetteville, TN, as the guest of our long-time friend, and VNO's largest, most generous SPONSOR, Mike Wetherington of ADC Chemical!

A little history: when Rich was in Water Treatment and Chief Operator over the LaVergne, TN Water Plant, he was ADC Chemical's very first customer! Ever since then, he has always been referred to as "No. 1", and invited to anything going on up there! This month they are having a meeting and also a Retirement Party for their long-time friend and driver, PIGGY!

The VFW in Smyrna

always R-O-C-K-S!!

Friday, Jan. 15th we were back at the VFW in Smyrna, TN! As the Vets came in, everyone in the place started calling to them, welcoming them, and telling them how glad they were to see them! Cool!

And the folks at the VFW are always so willing to share their food with the Vets, too! From steak to beef stew to pizza or fried chicken - and everything in between - whatever they are having that night, the Vets are always welcome to dig in with the rest of them!

That makes it so nice for our Vets! To be made to feel so welcome ... that people are glad to see you and glad you could make it!

Sure looks like we're getting off to a fantastic start this year!

Our third trip of the month ... to DUGGERS in Murfreesboro, TN .... one of the all-time favorite spots of our Veterans ... was fabulous as usual!
