THE PIT STOP TRIP RAINED OUT!

The bus started out for the Pit Stop and was called back to the Veterans Home for severe thunderstorm warnings ... a definite safety issue for the Veterans.

Rich Peoples and the others already waiting for them at the Pit Stop were disappointed but understood why they weren't coming.

So...there's always next time!!!

The 5th Annual RIDE TO REMEMBER Alzheimers Benefit
a HUGE SUCCESS!
Despite a scorching-hot
105 degree heat index!

What a turn out!  Everyone converged at Dwayne Samford's Classic Custom Cycles in Murfreesboro, TN by 8 am and enjoyed a delicious biscuit and gravy breakfast before starting off on the Poker Run to area Nursing Homes, a stop at Bumpus Harley-Davidson, then back to Dwayne's for a great lunch, live music bu Lori Lynn J0rdan and a fantastic Silent Auction!

Pictured below, from left to right are:
Dwayne Samford of Classic Custom Cycles, Amanda Pullias, Director of Boulevard Terrace, and Rich Peoples.

Our VetsNiteOut Founder and CEO, Rich Peoples, holds the Ride every year in conjunction with Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as a fundraiser to benefit The Alzheimers Foundation. (As most of you probably know by now, Rich's Mother is a resident of Boulevard Terrace.)

A HUGE THANKS to all our friends from Murfreesboro HOG, CMA, Rolling Thunder, World Outreach and EVERYONE ELSE who came out in the almost-unbearable heat to support us!

Our Host, Dwayne Samford, was kind enough to let us use his gorgeous property for the fundraiser, the Event Staff of Boulevard Terrace was absolutely amazing as usual, organizing and collecting most of the food, plates, cups, ice, water, etc, and Lori Lynn Jordan entertained us with her fantasic music and voice!

Special thanks also to everyone who donated items for the Silent Auction, food, water, etc, and to Little Caesars on Memorial Blvd. for the Pizza, and to Duggers for the wings!

Despite the unrelenting heat, everything was fantastic and the event was a HUGE SUCCESS!!

If YOU didn't make it out this time, we'll see you next year!
