WooHoo! VetsNiteOut has another Host this year! Willie's Wet Spot in Smyrna, TN, has most generously extended an invitation to our Veterans to join them for some food and fun, so we're taking them up on it! Thanks Willie!

Meet us there, if you can, at 2:00 p.m. onTuesday, Feb. 2nd!

We'll have a big time!

CORRECTION:

Everything above is true, except for the date!

Since most of the parking lots and many of the streets around town were still affected by our big snow, (including those of the Tennessee State Veterans Home and Willie's Wet Spot), we postponed our trip to Willie's for a couple days.

Of course, by then it was raining, but what can you do? If we let the weather totally dictate our lives, we'd probably miss out on a lot, right?!

Anyway, the great time we had at Willie's was well worth the wait...have a look:

Everyone at Willie's Wet Spot was fantastic to our guys! They were treated to whatever they wanted ... and ALL they could eat, and even customers were buying rounds for them!

Willie himself came in before we left and said, in no uncertain terms, that the Vets were welcome tocome back anytime!

WOOHOO!!!! Another great time ... another great success story ... another great HOST for VetsNiteOut!

Life is good!

DUGGERS A BIG HIT AS USUAL!

Duggers has got to be one of the most favorite places to go, according to our Veterans. They ALWAYS have a great time at DUGGERS!

These pictures speak for themselves ... and from the looks of things ... the Caregivers have a nice time, too.

The VFW and the

PIT STOP trips

Only a few Veterans ventured out for the VFW trip Friday night, but they had a great time, and even the accompanying TSVH staff enjoyed it!

However, the highlight of the week had to be the trip to The Pit Stop on Saturday! VNO Volunteer Linda Morrison single-handedly organized the whole thing with the owner of The Pit Stop, and the Veterans from the Tennessee State Veterans Home were treated to a wonderful time!

Lots of local Veterans were on hand at the Pit Stop Saturday to welcome our Vets and make sure they had everything they wanted! A heartfelt THANKS to everyone at The PIT STOP for your generosity of spirit! The Vets will be talking about this "big time" for weeks to come!
