Our first VetsNiteOut of April was back to BUSTERS in Murfreesboro, TN, home of The Best Burgers in the State!
(And the onion rings and beer aren't too shabby, either!)

Our Vets always have a great time at Busters!  See for yourself:

"This week (April 18th to 25th) is National Volunteer Week in the US.

The week is a signature event created by the Points of Light Institute, to celebrate ordinary people doing extraordinary things to improve communities across the nation. "

Thanks , Beth Kanter, for the information!

Another Great Time at the Smyrna VFW
Post 8422!

Since the VFW does so much for our Disabled Veterans at Christmas time and all year, their Caregivers decided they wanted to try to give a little back...and provided all the food for everyone who attended the VFW in Smyrna, TN on Friday night, April 23, 2010!

Keep in mind that the Smyrna VFW invites our guys to come share with them all the time, and never charges one cent!

This time, thanks to a group of Caregivers at the Tennessee State Veterans Home, who always want to make sure that the guys "get out and go", we treated them!

And they LOVED IT!  Ellen Jones brought 100 pieces of catfish - and hushpuppies, too -  from her husband's restaurant, Mike's Catfish in Murfreesboro, TN; Janette Seaborn-Brown made a HUGE pot of Jambalaya;  Barbara Cochran brought all kinds of extras, including a gorgeous Fruit Salad, and Rich Peoples brought Pizza, to make sure there was something for everyone!

Extra Staff, including Sophia Bunch, Social Services Director at TSVH, went along to make sure there were enough Staff so everyone who wanted to could go!

It was a great time for everyone!
