"A Token of Appreciation for Those Who Served Our Great Country "
A Veteran is someone who, at one point in his or her life,
wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America
for an amount of "up to and including my life".
According to the Disabled Vets Association,
(HELP4VETS.COM):
citing statistics from the U.S. Department
of Veterans Affairs:
Of the 24.5 million
living Veterans
in the United States
2.6 million are
service-connected disabled
and over 9 million
are age 65 or older.
Vets'Nite*Out is focused on coordinating Hosts and Sponsors who are proud to
provide a Nite*Out, or other consideration, as a "Token of Appreciation"
for the Veterans who served our great Country -

men and women who were willing to give life and limb to protect us -
and to preserve our freedom!
Let's Give a Little Something Back!

(Important Note: Cigarettes went up $7.00 per carton in March 2009, pushing even generic brands upwards of $30 per carton. Veterans on Medicaid
receive only $40 per month* for spending money.
If you are able and so inclined, please drop off a pack or carton of cigarettes for our Veterans at your local Veterans Home or Nursing Home.)
Or, if you like, you can "Chip-In" with us
to our CIGARETTE FUND at:
Every few bucks helps!
Thanks!
*Update: As of January 2010, spending money was increased to $50 ...
which is great, but still not enough to buy 2 cartons of cigaretter a month.
Thanks for visiting!
